The White Raven
De Witte Raaf is a bimonthly journal on (contemporary) art in Flanders and The Netherlands. Located between longer essays, the category “ondertussen” (meanwhile) contains shorter reports, exhibition and book reviews as well as a summary of current art exhibitions in Europe.
As the essays are typeset with a lot of white space and accompanied by large images, the “ondertussen” pages appear to be packed to the gills, developing into a continuous flow. The reports are rushing through as it were, separated only by a black line. The typeface used to highlight quotations in the essays takes over the entire text.
