KORRELATIONEN is a magazine project by four photographers: Philipp Niemeyer Samuel Solazzo, Jakob Treß and Jannis Uffrecht, who met and became friends while studying at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. After the first issue, all black and white, was published in 2018, work began on a second, four-colour successor. This second issue was no longer to consist of full-page image pairs, and instead aiming for freer, more playful compositions.
In the summer of 2020, we got together in Weimar to work on selecting the images and transferring them into a magazine format. The four photographers began by opening their archives and pooling their material. KORRELATIONEN is a photographic conversation between them, in which they have deliberately refrained from mentioning their respective names under the individual photographs. This experiment is framed by a text written by Grenadine Rübler for the project.
