Phew!
To celebrate his bachelor’s graduation, Jannis Uffrecht places an orange-colored, 40-ft. standard shipping container on campus, thereby creating an entirely new space, unaffected by the historically charged buildings of the former Bauhaus. Along with the exhibition of his own works, Jannis is visited by other friends and artists who contribute performances, readings, film screenings etc.
The container is equipped with a number of standardized labels, marking it as as “long vehicle” and something “super heavy”. The relieved “Uff!” [“Phew!”] was extracted from one of the artist’s many Donald Duck comic books.
